Life after college.

It has been almost 2 months since i graduated from college. Time really flies i must say! So what have i been up to all these while besides hunting for jobs? Let me just flashback and list down some of the interesting and worth mentioning events/things here so that i can look back to this post in the future (which i doubt i will).

. graduated from Stony Brook University on May 22nd 2009 with a Summa Cum Laude. After all the sleepless nights and having a nerdy attitude, I finally achieved it. Not a bad thing after all. My grandma and sister (Kah Yan) flew to the States to attend my graduation ceremony. They spent a month here and i must say we (mom, david and i) did a fantastic job as tour guides. Brought them everywhere a tourist should have gone and had them try most of the famous food in NY. So, if any of you plan to visit NY, you should know what to do. If you dont, then I feel sorry for you.
. The person whom i came to the States with two years ago and whom i spent most of my time with decided to choose to work in Malaysia over spending her life with me here in NY. Le sigh. My life in NY wouldnt be as fun and crazy without her here. She's like my other half. We used to sleep in the same room together, take the same train to school together, take the same classes together, go shopping together, study till the sun rise together, work in the same place together, and more! There was once she accidently opened the bathroom door and saw me taking a crap in the bathroom. FML. Damn, the more i write, the more i miss her presence! I misssschhh you, Lee Cheng!! (Hows life in Msia without me? mine is Bad)

. I spent my last 2 months busy with job hunting, obviously. And not to forget to mention, having to go through the arduous interview process! Its a pain in the arse. Really. Fortunately, my job hunting task has almost come to an end. Wait a second, actually already ended two weeks ago! ahaha. Im officially hired as a lead teacher! Can you imagine me teaching? lmao. Eventhough i have already accepted their offer, i am also currently going for a third interview with another company which i know im not supposed to but heck im hoping to get that job and give up the first one because the second company offers more benefits and a higher pay. The position that im interviewing for is called child/family specialist. Well, we'll see how it goes next week. If the second company wanna hire me then i'll say bye to the first one. If otherwise, then I'll start teaching on August 10th! Im fine with either one =)

. David and I have finally moved out from Long Island to Astoria. Im loving the place where im living! More like, im loving the city life. I can hop onto the subway or hail a cab and go wherever i want! I can eat whatever cuisine i want since there are 84018347834 restaurants serving cuisines from all over the world in Manhattan. Astoria is literally 5 minutes drive from Manhattan and its 6 stops away if i take the subway. Most importantly, i can go shopping whenever i want. Dont have to make David drive me out to the mall and have him to wait for me to shop anymore. I can shop myself now and take my own sweet time. LML ♥

. My youngest sister had just immigrated to the States. I wish i could have a greencard like her. She's currently my new shopping mate. Not a bad thing having a younger sister after all =)
. Started reading Harry Potter thanks to David. YES call me whatever you want. The book is not as bad as i thought. David is a big fan of the book but not the movie, hence he has the whole collection of the books. He has his nerdy side too. ahaha
This is supposed to be a short post, but didnt expect it will end up this long. Anyway, i'll try posting one blog post a day *fingers crossed*. Gonna sleep now. It's six oclock already! fml
Till then ♥
